Employing our TAD series dividing heads with torque-motor (direct drive) offers you new manufacturing possibilities, due to the high speed and dynamic movement.
The direct drive motor with hollow shaft is designed for a maximum in power or speed – depending on the desired operation. It is designed to be connected to a cooling system for even higher performance. The whole system is designed to run without any gear drive. Therefore expensive gear-drive defects, after a collision, are a thing of the past. The dynamic and speed of these units supersede the gear-driven units by far.

Due to these facts, these rotary axes open up a whole new range of manufacturing possibilities e.g. rotary-grinding or even light turning operations. The measuring system is always connected directly to the rotary spindle and gives you therefore the highest possible accuracy. A direct drive runs without any gears and therefore no backlash occurs in these units.

The main bearing is a very precise and rigid axial/radial bearing arrangement. All units can be delivered with an integrated spindle lock system, either pneumatic or hydraulic, that can also serve as an emergency brake. The large range of additional equipment can covers most demands on wprk-piece holding. Individual solution for specific demands can always be designed and manufactured e.g. high-speed versions or specific centre heights or spindle versions e.g. ISO 50 etc.
